Published since 1946, Vanguard is Portland State's entirely student-run newspaper. During the 2019–2020 academic year, I held the Creative Director position in which I had the opportunity to lead a group of designers and collaborate in the production of our weekly publication.
My role allowed me to work with editors and contributors, interpreting their stories through editorial illustrations and layouts. During the year I worked as Creative Director, our team developed a solid style that became a distinctive feature of Vanguard's identity.
